So, what is PAL?

PAL is a personalised distance-learning provision for neurodivergent children and young people who need a different way to learn, particularly those with a PDA autistic profile.

Each PAL Box contains engaging, hands-on activities shaped around the young person’s interests, strengths, needs and learning goals.

With a high-interest, low-demand approach, activities can be explored at their own pace, helping to rebuild engagement with learning and develop confidence, skills and independence.

Hi I’m Jess

I’m an experienced mainstream primary teacher with a keen interest in SEND and inclusive education.

Throughout my teaching career, I became increasingly aware that, for some children, the traditional school environment simply doesn’t work. I saw how difficult it can be for young people to engage with learning when the environment and approach don’t meet their individual needs, and the difference it can make when learning is shaped around the child instead.

This led me to explore more flexible, creative and personalised approaches to education and, through my collaboration with Spectrum Space, to provide bespoke learning packages for children and young people across Northumberland, Durham and Tyne and Wear.

At the heart of my approach is a simple belief: learning should adapt to the young person, not the other way around.
